Support Am I Missing's Mission

As a non profit charity organization, Am I Missing  is dependant on donations in order to support communities, families and law enforcement in locating missing loved ones. Our volunteer members incur many costs and expenses including travel, lodging, training, equipment and dog expenses. 

Whether you are a small or medium sized business, large corporation or an individual, we appreciate any financial support you can offer. Although financial gifts are the most flexible, if you would like to discuss a gift or grant for specific equipment or training please contact us.

Should there be any interest in supporting our mission and the families we serve - simply reach out. We would be happy to work with you to develop a meaningful approach in recognition of your contribution such as being featured on our social media, website or other promotional materials.

A tax deductible receipt will be issued for all donations over $20.

Am I Missing consists of dedicated, experienced and highly trained search dogs, dog-handlers, investigators, search & rescue personnel and scuba divers that perform search and recovery efforts for missing persons.

We have been providing this service since 1999. In 2020, we started a non-profit charity division as we are passionate about finding missing loved ones and being able to provide our services to families free of charge. We have the patience and experience to take all the investigative steps necessary to increase the odds of achieving success. This includes interviewing witnesses, obtaining a solid background on the missing person, retracing last known steps, reviewing video surveillance (if available) and tracking down leads.

Our water certified dogs help pinpoint the location of presumed drowning victims, so our divers can then recover the body. The dogs ride in the front of a small boat and/or search the shoreline on foot.

Our “air scent” trained dogs find missing persons in a wilderness or urban setting. The dogs typically work off-leash with their handler and a support person to cover a large search area in a short amount of time and search any terrain in inclement weather condition, including snow.
